To the Desire Tree Foundation,
The International Women’s Association, Georgia (IWAG) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization and part of the International Women’s Association worldwide network.
It was founded in 1996 with the purpose of welcoming new members of the diplomatic missions and expats coming to Tbilisi and introducing them to the rich culture of Georgia by organizing social and cultural activities.
In years, it has expanded the scope of its activities and become a prominent association in Georgia providing valuable contributions to several projects on education, health and culture. In cooperation and collaboration with different official and private institutions, foundations and associations, IWAG has mainly supported women, children and the elderly who are at risk due to poverty, poor health and other disabilities.
In this framework, we are happy to support an exceptional initiative by “Desire Tree Foundation”, founded by Nino Surguladze. Thanks to her benevolent heart and her foundation that have been working so hard to give another chance and hope to the young lives and their families to pursue their dreams as healthy individuals.
As in Emily Dickinson’s words; “Hope” is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul – And sings the tune without the words – And never stops – at all…. Nino Surguladze sings to prove that there is a hope…
